Ellipse Energy is one of three contractors selected to deliver the Provision of Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) surveys for Oxford City Councils housing stock.
We were officially awarded in December…a perfect Christmas present!
We were lucky enough to meet Oxford City Councils delivery team too. Upon award our Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA) attended a two-hour orientation session with Oxford City Council and met with their Local Authority Project Team to finalise contracts for our latest public sector tender win. The meeting was incredibly useful as it gave both parties the opportunity to ensure that we defined and agreed delivery requirements in-line with the contract, including timescales and other contract key performance indicators (KPIs).
This formal tender process was to appoint DEAs for the provision of good quality EPCs across Oxford City Council’s homes. The work is being completed to maximise ECO3 funding brought into the Council’s social housing which will improve the energy efficiency of the homes, reduce fuel poverty in the city, improve health outcomes and reduce carbon emissions.
Suppliers responding to this opportunity were asked to carefully consider how their response could align with the Council’s corporate priorities which are:
- Meeting housing needs
- Cleaner, greener Oxford
- Efficient, effective Council
Our submission clearly demonstrated, through our proven track record and case studies, that we were able to deliver all project requirements. It also gave confidence that we have the resource and skills required to deliver the contract within the strict timescales to allow the Council to meet their objectives and strategic targets.
Initially a three-month contract, surveys have already started being conducted, and so far it is going very well. Oxford City tenants have been very helpful and an absolute pleasure to work with.
