One of our accredited assessors carried out a full energy assessment and technical survey of the property. The findings of this assessment highlighted that the majority of heat loss was due to the poorly insulated external walls of the system built property.
Our assessor advised a variety of energy efficient insulation methods that would benefit the McVeigh family, however after careful consideration the assessor advised that external wall insulation would be the best solution for the McVeighs.
External wall insulation was recommended because it would provide the benefit of a warmer home and lower heating bills. It also had additional benefits of improving the exterior of the property; revitalising the appearance, which had been a long time desire.
The heat is on for householders with the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
Householders could be paid hundreds of pounds a year for generating heat by solar thermal panels, biomass boilers and heat pumps.
