We Celebrate a BIG National Industry Award Win

We are absolutely thrilled to win National Advisory Organisation of the Year at the National Finals of the Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Awards.

The awards were launched in July 2015 following the changes in Government Energy Efficiency Policy, with the aim of providing public recognition for the excellent work the Energy Efficiency sector is doing to implement various energy efficiency schemes including the Energy Company Obligation (ECO). These measures together help homeowners reduce their energy bills, tackle fuel poverty and reduce Carbon emissions – something we all wholeheartedly support at Ellipse Energy.

The awards recognise success, innovation and ethics and were judged by some of the most respected names in the industry including Mike Crompton, Chairman of the Institute of Domestic Energy Assessors, Fanoula Ziouzia, Head of Products, Energy Saving Trust, Dr Nina Skorupska, Chief Executive, Renewable Energy Association, Lawrence Slade, Chief Operating Officer, Energy UK and Reza Shaybani, Chairman of the British Photovoltaic Association. The nominees for this particular award must have carried out work during the period January 2015 to March 2016, have a customer who is willing to endorse them, provide a statement as to the effectiveness of the nominated company in addressing the requirements of being an Energy Efficiency Advisory Organisation.

The judges said, “A very strong set of submitted statements demonstrate a wide experience base and a high level of expertise.  [Ellipse Energy] have a clear commitment to customer care and quality, and have complied with a wide range of professional qualifications and certifications.”  They added, “Ellipse Energy offer a complete service, have a very strong training focus and very robust social involvement statement.  They bring together a wide range of stakeholders and partnerships including all the main six energy companies which is to be admired.”  Concluding, “A strong submission from a company which although small clearly has big ambitions.  Backed up by strong involvement in the local community. Well done!!”

We were also shortlisted in two other categories- Insulation & Fabric Installer and  Advisor / Assessor!
