The UK government’s 2008 Climate Change Act committed us as a nation to cut carbon emissions by at least 80% by 2050. The first phase is to reduce emissions by at least 34% by 2020. Both targets are against a 1990 baseline.

To help us achieve these cuts, the government has introduced various schemes that give financial support and incentives to encourage householders and businesses to use energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies.

These schemes include The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) The Green Deal, Green Deal Home Improvement Fund, Feed-In Tariff (FIT) and The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

Ellipse Energy is registered as both a Green Deal Advice Organisation and a Green Deal Installer, authorising us to work with approved funding partners to access these schemes on behalf of our clients.

To ensure robust customer protections, the government has appointed a Green Deal Oversight and Registration Body (GD – ORB). The GD ORB maintains a register of all authorised Green Deal Providers, Advisors and Installers. For more check
